The Custom Styling Of The Ford Torino
Through the years, the Ford Motor Company has produced many different styles of automobiles, but few have made such impact as the Torino line of cars. From 1968 to 1976, the Ford Torino was one of the best-selling automobiles in America, with a wide range of styles produced.
From the start, the Torino line of automobiles maintained a fresh and exciting appearance that was quickly embraced by the motoring public. With its sleek, aerodynamic lines, the Ford Torino appealed to drivers of all ages.
In its inaugural year, the Torino was available in several different styles. Two door and four door hardtops, a two door convertible, a two door fastback and a station wagon model were offered to consumers who were eager to purchase and drive this new Ford automobile.
The 1969 line of Ford Torinos were very similar in design to the 1968 models, but the 1970 and 1971 models took on a decidedly more sporty appearance. With a low- slung, wider body style that more resembled a sports car than a family sedan, these models were equipped with large and powerful engines.
From 1972 to 1976, several updated styles of Torinos were introduced, which were all very popular.
