The Ford Torino is a great car that could be a terrific acuisition for you. While it may be an old car it is still a car that impresses people all the time. Many times, people have had the Ford Torino passed through from a previous generation and they have worked hard to revamp it and make sure that it is up and running. That is a great tribute to the Ford Torino, in an age where everyone is just looking to find the next expensive car that they can buy and show off about to their friends.

The Ford Torino from 1978 had a 460-4 V8 engine at 226 hp (168 kw) and it went to 3800 rpm. This was an amazing car in terms of how fast it could go, how smooth it was to drive and what a great aesthetic appearance it had as well. There was nothing to dislike about the Ford Torino and that is still the case.

So if you are looking for a vintage car that you want to add to your collection, or you enjoy having a classic as your car, then you should definitely look to the Ford Torino. It may be from the 70s but it is still a great car!

Most Torinos built were common four-door sedans or hardtops, but Ford also turned the Torino into a powerful muscle car. The two door hardtop Torino was fitted with a 7 liter 428 cubic inch V-8 engine, plus an even more powerful 429 cubic inch Cobra-Jet engine. The Torino muscle cars were introduced into NASCAR racing competitions and were quite successful.

The 1968 Torino GT two-door hardtop and convertible was offered with a 302 cubic inch V-8 engine as standard. In 1969 the Torino 2 -door hardtop and 2-door SportsRoof fastback model was offered, which were called the Cobra in the NASCAR circuit. Is this new to you? Catch up here The all-new 1970 Torino was lower and wider, with a more prominent long-hood short-deck design. The GT model came with bucket seats and non-functional hood scoop plus GT stripes.

In 1972 the Gran Torino arrived, with a new enclosed grill and sharper fender lines. The 351 cubic inch V8 became the high performance engine, replacing the 429 Cobra-Jet engine. Federal bumpers were added in 1973-74, making the cars longer and heavier. The 1975-76 Gran Torino Sport was used in the popular Starsky and Hutch TV series, and 1,000 replicas of the TV car were made before Torino production stopped.

Through the years, the Ford Motor Company has produced many different styles of automobiles, but few have made such impact as the Torino line of cars. From 1968 to 1976, the Ford Torino was one of the best-selling automobiles in America, with a wide range of styles produced.

From the start, the Torino line of automobiles maintained a fresh and exciting appearance that was quickly embraced by the motoring public. With its sleek, aerodynamic lines, the Ford Torino appealed to drivers of all ages.

In its inaugural year, the Torino was available in several different styles. Two door and four door hardtops, a two door convertible, a two door fastback and a station wagon model were offered to consumers who were eager to purchase and drive this new Ford automobile.

The 1969 line of Ford Torinos were very similar in design to the 1968 models, but the 1970 and 1971 models took on a decidedly more sporty appearance. With a low- slung, wider body style that more resembled a sports car than a family sedan, these models were equipped with large and powerful engines.

From 1972 to 1976, several updated styles of Torinos were introduced, which were all very popular.
